In Memory of
David McFarlin
Born Sept. 5th, 1942 in Portsmouth, Virginia
Died May 1st, 2012 in Lago Vista

David McFarlin who moved to Lago Vista in 1986 was instrumental in creating many of the electrical systems that were originally installed in K-Oaks. With a team of four to five regular helpers (and a few occasional helpers) who worked several days a week for many months. David’s team installed a transformer and numerous wire bundles for sound, lights, outlets, etc. These systems were acquired at a small cost to the POA and provided immeasurable enjoyment in the early years of K-Oaks for plays, musical performances and other gatherings.
Many of these systems are still operating, although improvements have been made to all facets of the sound, light and video equipment. David’s efforts made the growing pains of K-Oaks a lot easier to tolerate and were appreciated by all who used K-Oaks for years.
We will be forever grateful to David’s accomplishments and the joy they provided us.
David is survived by his wife Madeline McFarlin.
