RESERVATIONS FOR 2012
ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR YOUR STAY AT THE LVPOA CAMPGROUNDS.

LVPOA CAMPGROUND

All POA members are authorized to camp, free-of-charge, seven (7) days per calendar year. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation forms may be faxed, e-mailed or taken, in person, at the Administrative Office located at 20503 Dawn Drive. The member will need to provide a copy of their Driver's License at the time the request form is submitted. In addition, the member will be required to produce their Driver's License to POA staff on the date of their arrival.

POA members who are not in good-standing, for non-payment of any fees due the LVPOA, will be required to pay all outstanding fees and penalties before camping.

Campers are limited to a 14-consecutive days stay and must vacate the campground for 30 days before returning.  A property owner building his personal residence in Lago Vista may be allowed up to six months in the campgrounds starting from the time the slab is poured. Pre-approval by General Manager is required and appropriate fees will be charged.

From the last Monday in October through December 31, camping in self-contained units, only, will be permitted.  During that time, there is no trash collection, water service, RV dump station or restrooms available. All applicable fess will remain in place during this time. The Campground will  close January and February, annually.

There are currently 53 sites available with water and electrical hook ups; a limited number of sites have fire pits.  All sites designated as Low-AMP ([Green] sites 1-12 and 48-53) are limited to tents and pop-up trailers without air conditioning.  Mid-AMP ([Red] sites 13-49 except 19, 23, 25, and 39) are limited to trailer/motor homes and pop-ups with air conditioning.  The four High-AMP ([Blue] sites; 19, 23, 35, 39) are strictly limited to those trailer/motor homes requiring 50AMP service.

Please note that the use of 30/50 amp electrical adapters into a standard 110 receptacle is strictly prohibited by law and is a violation of the National Electrical Code.  Further, extension cords designed to conduct 20 amps should not be used when attempting to run equipment requiring 30 amps.

All sites are limited to two sleeping units per site (two tents or an RV with a tent). If you have more than two sleeping units you must use a second campsite.  Any member using  more than one campsite during their stay will be charged appropriately for the second site.

Campsites can be reserved by members; however walk-ins are still accepted.  If you choose to come to the Campgrounds, without a reservation, you will need to call a Park Ranger at 512-921-8552 for a check-in. You will not be able to enter the campground until you meet with a Park Ranger and are checked in; this is to prevent an already reserved campsite from being chosen by a walk-in member.  Please note that non-reserved check-ins will be handled on a first-come first-served basis and are subject to the Ranger’s availability in the area. There may be a small wait involved. Walk-ins are not accepted after 10 pm. Please be prepared to show a valid ID (driver's license or DPS ID card).

POA members are authorized to reserve campsites for themselves and their guests.  Members may reserve up to four sites at a time, but are limited to two sites on major holidays and during special events.  Members may only hold one reservation at a time.  Reservations may be made beginning February 1st for the upcoming season, beginning the first Monday in March thru the last Monday in October. Reservation request forms may be obtained at the LVPOA office at 20503 Dawn Drive. You may also download the form HERE. Once your request is approved, you will be provided a confirmation of your reservation.  An access code will be provided to gain entry to the campground during your stay.  Members may request specific sites; however, the LVPOA reserves the right to assign a specific campsite to campers.  If you have changed your mind on your chosen site, please contact the Admin office (512-267-2895) or, after hours, call a Ranger (512-921-8552) for a change of reservation in order to avoid using somebody else's assigned site.

GUEST CAMPING

Members will be responsible for the conduct of their guests at all times.  Members may make reservations, in advance, for their guests and are not required to stay with their guests.
