Winner 2007 Best Decorated Float
General Update:
Around the beginning of April the water level of Lake Travis was
approx. 647 feet above sea level and over the next six weeks rose to
701 feet above sea level, which took it 20 feet into the flood stage.
This flooded all our parks including the soccer field, work storage
buildings, the Bar-K Activity Center and swimming pool, all the marinas
had to be relocated. Thanks
to the tireless efforts of our GM
Terry Martin and his entire staff we are getting our operations back to
normal. We received an insurance settlement of $45,649.37
for damage to
the Bar-K Activity Center. Which type of restoration work
will be
performed on this facility has not been decided at this time. One thing
for sure, it will probably cost us a lot more to get this facility
fully operational once again.
• In late June we added to the LVPOA’s park system with the purchase of four lots, located at Emerald Point which was bought for the sum of $120,000.00. Money to Secure and develop this property will be required.
• Representatives from the LVPOA and the City of Lago Vista are currently in the early stages of discussing the roles and responsibilities of each entity in providing recreational facilities for our local residents.
• While great strides have been made in recovering delinquent dues over the last eighteen months it’s fair to say “we’ve picked the low hanging fruit “and this source of income is rapidly declining. In fact, this additional revenue was a major factor in keeping the annual assessment at its current level.

of Annual Meeting Notice
is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the Lago Vista Property
Owners’ Association will be held on Saturday November 3, 2007 at 10:00
am. The meeting will be held in the K-Oaks Clubhouse at 7000 Bar-K
Ranch Road in Lago Vista, TX. The purpose of the meeting is to elect two members to the Lago Vista Property Owners’ Association Board of Directors and the transaction of such business that may come before the members. This NOTICE as published in this Newsletter and distributed to all property owners members is intended to satisfy the requirements of Article VI, Section 4 of the Bylaws of the Lago Vista Property Owners’ Association relating to the “Notice of Meetings for Voting by Members.” |
