General Manager Report 

A year ago, I solicited your input to the Long Range Planning Committee's member survey and you responded. Thank you! It is clear by your responses that, whether you are a resident or non-resident, your priorities are:

• Park Security
• Park Improvements
• Park Privacy 

To that end, several efforts are underway to respond to our members' survey responses. Beginning in 2007, the BOD allocated resources to the Ranger program to address Park Security. In addition to hiring more Rangers, the BOD also wanted a plan to gate essential parks over the next five years. They also stipulated the need for an improved surveillance camera program. The program got off to a good start but hit a bump when all the parks flooded during the summer of 2007.

Improving parks is an ongoing effort. We have several programs at work including:

• Purchasing and building a new park at Emerald Cove
• Improved Park Infrastructure Program (Electric, Water (effluent))
• New Trash Receptacles Program   

• Post & Cable Program
• New Signs Program
• New Park Ranger Office
• New Bar-K Pavilion to replace Bar-K Clubhouse
• New Swimming Pool Furniture       
• Resurfacing Pavement Program
• Picnic Table Program
• Improvements to the Campground
