The three survey questions are:

3.  Which Bar-K Recreation Center Plan do you most favor?  Pavilion Only ___  Pavilion/Restaurant (open to public) ___  Pavilion/Multipurpose ___

Bar-K Recreation Center Restoration Plan


The LRPC survey taken in 2007 did not ask "What should be done in the event that the Bar-K flooded?" Restoring it to its original condition in the flood plain is not an acceptable option. After several months the Association is considering three options that will occupy the Bar-K foot print.

To make an informed choice please consider the following information:

  • Fully funded by developer. Initial out of pocket cost to Association $0.00. Developer has long term lease back option until investment recovered and then a positive cash flow to the Association.
  • Office space
  • Commercial Kitchen
  • Available for large parties, wedding receptions and meetings
  • Third floor is large deck above trees - panaorama view of lake 
  • Association holds the note and owns the amenity
  • Cost estimated at $750K
  • Restaurant is open to public/non-members 
  • If developer defaults, Association left holding the note
  • Requires feasibility study that could delay project with no guarantee that developer can go forward

  • Owned by Association outright
  • Members Only
  • Office space
  • Available for large parties, wedding receptions and meetings
  • Cost estimated at $500 - 750K
  • Currently very little demand for additional space 
  • Financing required
